WCC was formed in 1922 and eventually moved to its current and stunningly picturesque ground at Norton Lane in 1978. We are situated just behind the children’s play park.
The cricket club was awarded the ECB Clubmark of Excellence in 2019 and underlines the commitment to children’s / youth and senior cricket.

We play league cricket to a very good standard in the Bristol & District Leagues ( we run 4 senior Saturday sides ) and a further one side on a Sunday afternoon.

In 2023 a ladies section was formed with great success, playing friendlies, tournaments and winter indoor league. We hope to continue and expand this moving forward to play in Summer leagues.

Our youth section is ‘second to none’ and we offer very well organised cricket and cricket activities at every age group from Under 7 to Under 19 Just come along on any Friday night from Mid April to the end of August and have a chat, you’ll be made very welcome indeed!

We have numerous ECB registered Coaches and Mentors, Child Support and Safety Officers; as well as fully compliant first aid personnel on site.
The membership of 150 is growing, as is our reputation for fun, friendship and a very sociable atmosphere. We often run music nights, fund raisers and tours.
We run a fully licensed bar and hire out our facilities on occasions.
We welcome new members, social members, youth members, parents and guests.
