Residents asked to check their voter registration details as part of the annual canvass

Bath & North East Somerset Council will soon be asking residents to check their electoral registration details so they can vote on decisions that affect them. From Monday 25th July residents who have previously provided their email address will receive an email from the domain @notifications.service.gov.uk on behalf of the Electoral Registration Officer at Bath & North East Somerset Council. The email will ask residents to check their household details via a dedicated secure portal where they can either confirm that the information is correct or, if necessary, make any changes. If residents have not provided an email address they will be sent a letter in the post, which will explain what action they need to take. With local elections taking place in May 2023, this is an opportunity for residents to make sure they can take part. Will Godfrey, Electoral Registration Officer and Chief Executive of the Council said: “We want to make sure that we have the right information for every household in Bath and North East Somerset, so everyone who is eligible to vote is able to do so at our next elections.”For further information visit www.bathnes.gov.uk/annual-canvass
